ECOPATH specializes in all kinds of asphalt research, including paving, roofing and building industrial applications. ECOPATH Industries also has know how dealing with the following asphalt modifiers:
- crumb rubber (from ground scrap tires) (CRM)
- epoxy resins
- ethylene-methacrylate (EMA)
- ethylene-propylene diene monomer (EPDM)
- ethylene-vinyl-acetate (EVA)
- ethylene glycidyl acrylate terpolymer (EGA or Elvaloy)
- hybrid systems (e.g. crumb rubber and SBS)
- natural rubber (NR)
- polydiolefins (polybutadiene, polyisoprene)
- polyethylene (virgin and recycled)
- polyphosphoric acid (PPA)
- polypropylene (virgin and recycled)
- poly-vinyl-cloride (PVC)
- styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer (SBS - linear and radial)
- styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR)
- styrene-isoprene block copolymer (SIS)
ECOPATH has extensive know how in the various types of warm mix asphalt additives and procedures used:
- Reduced viscosity binder through the incorportation of water into the binder through inert synthetic zeolite based additives. Another commonly used method is through the use of water injecting technologies which cause significant decreases in the binder viscosity.
- Blending paraffin wax into the asphalt, which results a more workable asphalt at lower temperatures. This modification method has also been shown to increase the PG grading of the modified asphalt.
ECOPATH also provides binder formulation services to ensure that you achieve the necessary specifications in the most cost effective manner. For further details, please visit the asphalt menu on this homepage or click here.
ECOPATH does not endorse or condone the product EZ –lime™ or its utilization process, and was not a part of its development.
